Beat Post Malone at MTG and win $100K

After his $800K spending spree and recent partnership with WOTC, Post Malone is once again making headlines in the MTG gaming community! This time, he’s getting fans and fellow gamers involved in the fun, with a challenge that has a $100K reward riding on it. Sound interesting? Keep reading, it gets better!

It’s no secret that Posty is a passionate MTG player. We can see that in the stories above. But, we have yet to see him actually put his skills to the test against someone who is just as skilled and passionate about the game as he is. That’s why we’re excited to see what happens when he faces off against a random player in a one-on-one battle.

That’s right, Post Malone is challenging one lucky player to a 1v1 battle that could potentially lead to a sweet $100K payout at the end. All you have to do is beat him! 

This high-stakes match came about through Post Malone’s latest collaboration with Whatnot, the online community marketplace for gamers and collectors of all kinds to buy and sell goods. Whatnot’s position as the largest independent shopping platform in North America has been holding steady, but it’s fair to assume that they’ll see their stock rise even higher once the game goes live. After all, Posty knows how to pull in an audience!

So, how can you get your name on the list? Well, there’s a livestream event happening on Whatnot on August 4 at 6 pm PST. Those who view the stream will have the chance to enter a giveaway, which Whatnot will use as their list of potential opponents for Post Malone. From there, the Whatnot app will randomly select one lucky player, who will then be flown out to LA on August 11, where Posty will be waiting to do battle face-to-face (or Mana Y Mana). 

Not only do you get to meet Post Malone, but you also get the chance to beat him as well…and in front of an audience of onlookers who will be watching via the stream. And if you do get the best of Posty, you’ll be flying home $100,000 richer. 

We also would like to point out that Whatnot has called upon MTG champion, Reid Duke, to help prepare and train the lucky winner before the big day. This is actually pretty cool because it welcomes anyone and everyone to participate, no matter how fresh or familiar they are with MTG. One other exciting thing to note is that the match will be narrated by Jimmy Wong and Josh Lee Kwai. Yes, the same Jimmy and Josh who host one of our favorite MTG podcasts, The Command Zone. This is shaping up to be a real all-star event…with one lucky fan (perhaps you) right in the middle of it.
