Warhammer Age Of Sigmar: Tempestfall is set to be released this summer
If you’re a close follower of Warhammer news and updates, you probably heard about this sometime back in the fall (October) of 2020. We didn’t have time to cover it then because we were so involved with the Halloween season, but now that a new trailer recently came out for it, I thought this would be a great opportunity to cover it now. Plus, we just added our Warhammer Quest: Cursed City to our growing collection as well, so I’m trying to stick with that theme!
In this post, I’m going to quickly highlight this new game along with the trailer and other teaser details that we know about so far.
Ever since Carbon Studios, the developer behind Warhammer Age Of Sigmar: Tempestfall and other notable titles, first announced/teased the release of this game last year, fans have been waiting on pins and needles for something new to come out. And, in late March 2021, they (we) finally got it in the form of a new, awesome trailer that makes us look forward to it even more, especially now that we know it will be available on both Oculus Quest and PC VR!
Of course, this isn’t the first time that a Warhammer game will be playable on VR headsets with the release of Warhammer 40K: Battle Sister last year, but let’s be honest, anything VR is pretty exciting. Here’s what we know about the actual game/story itself so far - this comes straight from the developer:
“Descend in thunderous Tempestfall and deliver justice in the name of Sigmar. Wield melee weapons and powerful staves to combat hordes of Nighthaunt using motion-based abilities and magic. Become a mighty Lord-Arcanum, wielder of storm magic, and lead a Stormcast Eternal task force to recover your brethren’s lost souls. Walk the lands of Shyish, discover the secrets of Death, and battle forces of Nighthaunt in Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Tempestfall.”
Sounds pretty cool, right? We thought so too!
So, what’s next? Well, according to Carbon Studios, we can expect Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Tempestfall to be released sometime this summer on both VR platforms. It’s too bad we don’t have an exact date yet, but I don’t blame them for not revealing that info so early. At least they have given us another little easter egg to look forward to, which will be yet another trailer, but that will be an actual gameplay reveal trailer.
I’m definitely going to be on the lookout for that one, and if you’re as excited about this as I am, you should be, too! For more information, be sure to check out the official website for Warhammer Age of Sigmar Tempestfall every now and then.
Let me know your thoughts on the trailers and other details revealed so far and what you expect from the actual game itself in the comments below. Also, as always, if you happen to hear anything else about this game or of any updates, be sure to leave those for me in the comment as well. Thanks!
Until we meet again,
