Did February go as fast for you as it did for us? We’re only a few days away from the 28th and we’re wondering where the time went. At least we still have a few more things to look forward to before Monday, one of which is our monthly New Art Spotlight. We had a lot of fun designs come through this February, and with so many talented artists in our community, you can imagine how challenging it was for us to only choose three for this month’s NAS post.
But, just like always, we were able to select three awesome arts from three gifted designers who send us their work from all over the world. You’ll get to see these three arts and learn more about the artist behind each one with the info we’ve listed below.
As always, if you like these designs, be sure to check out the other awesome new art available on our site and keep an eye out for our future New Art Spotlight blog posts. You can also follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to help make sure you never miss out on one of our spotlights, announcements, or memes in the future.
Furthermore, if anyone out there is interested in joining our program (or you know somebody that you think definitely should be signing up for our program) you can head over to our Artist Programpage to learn more about the program and how to submit an application!
Sabrina has been an avid astrophotographer for over 6 years. Using highly precise tracking mounts, a telescope, and a specialty camera, she captures light from celestial objects millions, and sometimes billions of light years away. Some of these nebula and galaxies are so faint that it requires multiple nights taking pictures of the same object to produce the breathtaking images you see here. All of these images are of real objects in the night sky, though some are not even detectable by the human eye! These designs not only represent tens or hundreds of hours of work each by the artist but also show the stunning beauty that the universe itself has to offer.
I'm a South African artist living in Somerset West, Cape Town who is continuously surrounded by beauty that surprises & inspires on a day to day basis.
I have always wanted to work creatively and with my hands & being an online artist created the perfect environment for that passion. I’m ready to release my imagination to all sorts of colors & textures, drawing digitally or painting with gouache & watercolor.
God’s designs inspire me most as I strongly gravitate towards anything nature-related. I especially love to illustrate cats!
