Inked Gaming joins Extra Life

Inked Gaming Extra Life

It’s not hyperbole to say that gaming saves lives.  Not only does it provide an avenue for social connectivity and skill development—along with a healthy engagement in competition, among other benefits—it can often be a temporary reprieve from trauma.

We have experienced the power of gaming first-hand at Doernbecher Children's Hospital, our chosen charity.  One of our children was involved in a horrible accident, and they were cared for by the outstanding staff at the hospital.  Access to areas with toys and games helped our loved one momentarily escape the reality of brain surgery and all that entails, and instead experience the joys of being a kid at play.  The family room, with its couches and toys and games, provided an oasis of normalcy amid the sterile hospital setting.

To celebrate Extra Life and raise money for Doernbecher Children's Hospital so that they will be able to continue to provide a place of healing for those in need of its services, our team will be gaming for 24 hours, starting at Friday Night Magic at our FLGS.  This is our first year participating, so we are keeping expectations small.  However, any support helps.  You can join in our mission by providing a monthly pledge or one-time gift that will go directly to Doernbecher Children's Hospital.  Your donation is tax-deductible, and all proceeds go to help kids.  Last year, Extra Life raised more than 6 million dollars, and we hope to raise even more this year.  With your support we can make this goal a reality.

To make a donation, all you have to do is click on one of our team member’s name and then click the "Support This Participant" button.  It's all handled safely through Extra Life's website and is pretty simple and easy.  As a special thank you, we are giving away $20 Gift Cards to InkedGaming.com for all who donate $50 or more.
