Welcome back to the Weekly Wave! Let’s see what news, updates, and announcements have risen to the surface this week!

Greninja is coming to Pokémon Scarlet & Violet 7-Star Tera Raids!

Yes, you read that right! The Ninja Pokémon from the Kalos region is set to appear in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. The 7-Star Tera Raids give trainers the best chance to encounter some of the coolest Pokémon in existence, and Greninja is one of them. The chance to encounter this classic, legendary Pokémon gives players a lot to look forward to at the end of this month. We’ve circled the dates on our calendar, and if you don’t want to miss this debut, we suggest you do the same!

So, when and how can you encounter Greninja? Well, you’ll actually have a couple of chances. Your first will be between January 27th – 29th, which is coming up soon. Your second opportunity to cross paths with the Ninja Pokémon will be from February 10th – 12th. So, now you know why he had to post a reminder on our calendars. 

A couple of other important things to note is that you can locate Greninja by looking for the Black Crystals on your map. It will also have the Mightest Mark, allowing you to only catch one per save file. We’ll let you know if any more important info or updates come through over this next week or so. The Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer!

If you didn’t watch Monday Night Football, haven’t checked YouTube, or social media in the last couple of days, you probably haven’t seen the Mandalorian Season 3 trailer. It’s cool, we like to shut off the world every now and then too, but when we heard that a trailer would be premiering this week, we made sure to keep everything ON. 

Ever since his last appearance in The Book of Boba Fett and the awesome battle took place at the finale, we’ve been looking forward to Mando and Grogu’s return. Yep, like many others throughout the galaxy, we’re super excited for this new season, especially now that ‘the kid’ has chosen to learn the ways of the Mandalorian. Speaking of, let’s talk about the trailer!

In short, it looks AMAZING. But let’s be honest, we wouldn’t expect anything less at this stage of the game. The trailer is only 1:45 long, and we loved every second of it, especially the end when…oops, we don’t want to spoil anything in case you haven’t seen it yet. If you did, let’s just say we like seeing Grogu’s powers continue to grow.

Based on all the teases and short trailers that have been released so far, it looks like this new season is shaping up to be everything we hoped. Even though this is the third year of the series, it will be our first real step into a larger world. That was for all you Obi-Wan Kenobi fans out there.

Time’s running out to submit your Ugly Sweater design!

As we come closer to the final days of our coloring contest, we want to remind you that this is the last week to submit your entry. If you received a Kai Ugly Sweater mat in your supply drop box and still have yet to color it, be sure to do so by Friday, January 20th. After Friday, we will no longer be accepting submissions. All you have to do is color your Kai mat, take a picture of it, and send it to us via the submission link when you’re finished. 

Voting has been open since January 1st and will remain so until January 31st. Even if you’re not participating or don’t get your submission in on time, we still ask everyone in the Inked Gaming community to vote for their favorites. So far, we’ve accepted and posted a nice handful of Ugly Sweater designs…and Kai looks great in every one of them. The thing is, we need help choosing the best one, which is why we’re hoping to take in a lot of votes before the 31st.

After all the designs are submitted and the votes are tallied, we will announce the winner(s) on February 1st. Remember, there are three prizes available for those who place in the top 3 with the most votes. Click HERE to vote for your favorite Ugly Sweater Design today!
