THE WEEKLY WAVE

Welcome back to the Weekly Wave! Let’s see what news, updates, and announcements have risen to the surface this week!

Tune in to Pokémon Presents next week!

In case you didn’t know, Pokémon Day is coming up next week on February 27th. In addition to some of the other cool festivities and events that have been announced, a Pokémon Presents Livestream has been added to the schedule as well. This livestream event was announced via social media earlier this week and promises to reveal some exciting news for Trainers across the globe!

Pokémon Presents

The broadcast will be aired via Pokémon’s official YouTube channel at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET next Tuesday. We can’t be sure exactly what ‘exciting news’ will be announced during the event, but it’s safe to assume that it will touch on some projects that have been teased but are still in development. This also might be an opportunity for Pokémon to confirm or deny a few rumors, including the ones that involve revamps of older titles.

We’ll be tuned in, what about you?

Gear up for Magic: The Gathering’s Fallout Crossover!

From the moment that Wizards of the Coast first announced its MTG crossover with Fallout, fans on both sides have been eagerly awaiting more details about the set. Now, with just a few weeks to go, everyone is preparing for an epic new adventure that’s sure to take this series to a whole new level!

This collaboration marks an exciting fusion of Fallout's post-apocalyptic world with MTG's diverse universe, promising a blend of magic and mayhem unlike anything seen before. The Fallout universe seamlessly integrates into the MTG multiverse, with specially designed cards featuring iconic imagery and themes. Players can explore the Wasteland, confront mutated adversaries, and cast powerful spells within the card game's framework. Mechanically, the cards introduce new gameplay inspired by Fallout, including resource management and tactical combat mechanics.

The crossover introduces four themed Commander Decks, each containing 100 cards inspired by the Fallout series. These decks offer never-before-seen Magic cards featuring new characters, art, and mechanics. You can learn more about this in our more detailed blog HERE

Pre-ordering for Magic: The Gathering’s Fallout Crossover is available now and will remain open until the set's official release on March 8, 2024. So, if you want to avoid the rush, we suggest that you pre-order your deck and booster sets as soon as you can. We also recommend getting yourself a fresh Wasteland-themed mat to pair with your new Fallout sets. Here are some from our collection:
