Pokémon TCG’s 2024 Illustration Contest is open!

Pokémon has announced that they are accepting entries for their Illustration Contest for 2024, which means it’s time for you to start thinking about some awesome designs for this year’s theme. Pokémon TCG is challenging artists from Japan, the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand to create a mesmerizing Pokémon art that “Embodies the theme of Magical Pokémon Moments.” There’s a lot of room for creative freedom in this one.

Just like in previous years, Pokémon wants participants to create a cool card illustration, but they must feature one of the following Pokémon in the art. See what you can do with these:

That’s actually a cool list to work with, and we can’t wait to see what artists from all over the world can come up with. We actually have a few members of our in-house artist team putting together some rough sketches as we speak. Based on what we’ve seen so far, we can tell you right now that this year’s contest is going to be a tight one. 

As always, there will be cash prizes available for top artists in various categories, and the winning card designs will be given their own promo card for official distribution. The entry period for the contest is already open and will remain so until 5:59 a.m. PST on January 31, 2024. So, you can take your time, but be sure to use it wisely.
