Altered reaches close to $7 million in support!

This story came out late last week, and since we know what it’s like to launch a Kickstarter campaign, we thought it would be fun to feature in this week’s wave. Equinox Studios, a French-based developer, has been seeking support for their new TCG, Altered, in order to compete with some of the gaming world’s more popular titles, including MTG and Disney Lorcana.

With such a crowded field of strong competition, breaking into the TCG sphere is a challenging feat for any up-start studio looking to get their game on the map. However, Equinox chose to roll the dice and seek support from those who are anxious to see a new title rise up…and it really paid off.

Thanks to almost 15,000 backers, Altered took in a whopping $6.7 million in support, breaking the record for most funds ever to be given to a TCG. Not bad, huh? In case you weren’t aware, Altered is a TCG that focuses more on exploration and discovery as opposed to combat. Based on its mechanics and gameplay, many believe that Altered will give MTG and others a run for their money.

Altered challenges players to craft their own unique adventures by selecting a faction and leading that faction into a host of epic explorations throughout the Altered universe. You can learn more about the game HERE. 

Altered is set to officially release on August 26, 2024!

Prepare for Pokémon Sleep’s Electric Type Week!

Starting on March 11th, Trainers will be able to participate in a sweet Pokémon Sleep event that’s sure to wake up your senses. Electric Type Week introduces a host of Pokémon to the game, all of which have an ‘electric’ personality. Among these Pokémon, you’ll find iconic characters, including Raikou and Dedenne, making their debut in the game.

With so many awesome Electric types coming to Sleep, Pokémon is encouraging Trainers to prepare their research teams ahead of the event and to make friends with as many electric Pokémon as they can. In addition to the Electric-types, Trainers can also expect to encounter different sleep types as well. 

Here are just a few Pokemon that will be appearing during the event:

• Pikachu (Greengrass Isle / Cyan Beach / Lapis Lakeside)
• Jolteon (Greengrass Isle)
• Pichu (Greengrass Isle / Lapis Lakeside)
• Mareep (Greengrass Isle / Snowdrop Tundra)
• Ampharos (Snowdrop Tundra)
• Dedenne (Greengrass Isle / Lapis Lakeside)

Again, Pokémon’s Electric Type Week will begin on March 11, 2024 at 4:00 am local time. The event will run until 3:59 pm local time on March 18th, giving you a whole week to have some fun with these Electric Types!
