The Weekly Wave

Welcome back to the Weekly Wave! Let’s see what news, updates, and announcements have risen to the surface this week!

Take advantage of Prime Day deals!

In case you didn’t hear, Prime Day deals went live yesterday, which means gamers/shoppers everywhere are taking advantage of some sweet savings and discounts that are not going to last much longer. Today is actually the last day that these discounts will be active, so if you want to score some awesome games and/or goods for a great price, now is the time to get yours ordered.

Based on some of the items that we’ve come across so far in our search, this is one Prime Day that no gamer will want to miss out on. Right now, we have our eyes on a few items that are currently available for a better price, including headphones (Logitech G535), keyboards (SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Wireless), and a few games (Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, Madden 24, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom). And there’s so much more that we’re thinking about adding to our cart.

This is definitely a Prime Day geared towards gamers who were patiently waiting for some of the newer/bigger titles and quality accessories to come down in price. Well, that patience has definitely paid off. Remember, these Prime Day discounts will be gone tomorrow, giving you only a few more hours to get your shopping done. Whether it’s for you or someone else, this is a great way to get some holiday gift items crossed off your list way ahead of schedule.

Saw: The Jigsaw Trials board game is coming soon!

With the Halloween season in full swing, a lot of game developers and creators are announcing plans for some bone-chilling new projects this month. One such project is still in the works and in need of funding, but is moving forward with the approval of one of the biggest horror movie franchises to date. Recently, Iconiq Studios revealed their plans to launch a Saw board game of their own. It’s called Saw: The Jigsaw Trials.

Saw: The Jigsaw Trials

As of right now, Iconiq is still looking for funding to bring the game to life, which is why they have kicked off a Kickstarter campaign to get the game off the ground. With that in mind, we don’t have all the details about the game itself just yet, but there are a few nuggets of info that we have to go off of. For starters, The Jigsaw Trials will be a 2 – 6-player board game with elements taken from the SAW film franchise, so you can imagine what kind of traps and terror await those who dare to play the game.

Of course, since the game is based on one of the most gruesome horror series produced, The Jigsaw Trials is only meant to be played by 18+ gamers. And, with their Kickstarter going up on Halloween night (October 31st), Iconiq is expecting to have the funding and fulfillment for a 2024 launch. So, if you “want to play a game” (jigsaw voice) and help Iconiq bring the horror to life, be sure to keep tabs on their social media and Kickstarter page when it goes live at the end of the month. Make your choice!
