The Weekly Wave

Welcome back to the Weekly Wave! Let’s see what news, updates, and announcements have risen to the surface this week!

Yu-Gi-Oh! gives you the power with replica Millennium Rod!

In an effort to help gamers make their Yugi dueling experience even more exciting, and authentic, Bandai has decided to bring one of the series’ most powerful treasures to life: The Millennium Rod. This life-size piece is an exact replica of the rod that is carried by Marik.

The rod features a stunning gold color and is true to the size of the original rod shown in the anime series. It also will say lines using Marik’s voice, which can be activated with the button on the front. You have to see it to believe it!

Millennium Rod

Pretty cool, right? Yep, we can definitely see ourselves bringing one of these to our duels. We’ll just have to wait awhile, though. The Millennium Rod is available for preorder as we speak, and will remain so until October. Those who wish to possess it will have to just pay $75 USD or about 11,000 yen, and can expect it by February 2024. We’re definitely putting our names on the list, what about you?

Pokemon Go Adventures Abound coming soon!

As one season of Pokémon GO closes, another one appears to be opening, and it looks like it has the potential to be an awesome experience for Trainers! Adventures Abound is the newest season of Pokémon GO, which has been teased by Niantic via Twitter earlier this week. The teaser itself was super short, sweet, and a bit mysterious, as it only features a Pokémon (known only as Quaquaval) just dancing.

You can see the vid yourself HERE!

Adventures AboundNot too many details have been revealed yet for Adventures Abound, but there are a few little things that Trainers can expect once the adventure begins. First, this season will introduce three Pokémon from Scarlet & Violet at the forefront. Those Pokémon include Quaxly, Sprigatito, and Fuecoco.

It’s also been rumored that Adventures Abound will present players with a new Ultra Unlock feature. Trainers who are able to complete 20 tasks will be given Ultra Unlock bonuses. We don’t know exactly what those bonuses will be, but more details should be coming out soon, especially since Adventures Abound is expected to be available in the next week or so.

You can figure that his season will run from September – November, with some special events and community days sprinkled in between. We’ll keep our eyes open for more updates and announcements. In the meantime, be sure to check back here or on Pokémon GO’s social media, that way you’re in the loop for when this new season officially goes live!
