Welcome back to the Weekly Wave! Let’s see what news, updates, and announcements have risen to the surface this week!

Yu-Gi-Oh! 25th Anniversary Legendary Collection!

In 2023, Yu-Gi-Oh! will be celebrating it’s 25th Anniversary, and in honor of this historic milestone, Konami has chosen to create a collection that takes fans back to the beginning. To commemorate this epic 25-year journey in the TCG world, Konami is reprinting the first Yu-Gi-Oh! sets ever released. That means some of the most legendary cards that made the game/series what it is today, will be re-introduced in the upcoming Legendary Collection.

According to Konami, The Legendary Collection will feature one pack each of Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon, Metal Raiders, Spell Ruler, Pharaoh's Servant, and Invasion of Chaos. The collection will also include some promo cards and even some Ultra Rares as well. Here’s the image that was featured in the announcement that Konami made on Twitter last week:

In that post, Konami revealed that “Each Legendary Collection: 25th Anniversary Edition will include 1 random Quarter Century Secret Rare version of 1 of the 6 special variant cards.”  2022 was quite a year for Yu-Gi-Oh!, especially with the introduction of Master Duel. Then there was the tragic, but heroic passing of Kazuki Takahashi, the game’s creator. Between its 25th Anniversary, the Legendary Collection, and plans to enhance Master Duel, 2023 is set to be a year for the books for one of our favorite games.

Be sure to catch The Bad Batch next week!

Season 2 of the epic Star Wars adventure is set to premiere next week, and we’re super excited to see Clone Force 99 back in action! Disney+ plans to start things off with a two-episode premiere on January 4th. From there, we can look forward to seeing one episode per week until March 29th.

This entire season will present 16 episodes, in which we can expect to see an awesome new adventure unfold. In this season, the creators have made it clear that we will see more of the Empire and therefore Emperor Palpatine as well. Characters like Omega and Crosshair will also have their chance to shine. Crosshair is going to be doing his own thing away from squad, while Omega will continue to grow and fulfill her destiny. 

It’s going to be a great season, and we can’t think of a better way to kick off the new year! Remember, you can catch The Bad Batch season 2 premiere on Wednesday, January 4th. We’ll be watching…how about you?

Inked Gaming’s Featured Artist of the Week!

It’s the last week of December, and the year, so we’re really pushing for Allanvre’s collection of gear! As our Featured Artist of the Week, Allanvre’s work has been highlighted on both our site and social media, which is what being a Featured Artist is all about. We always talk about designers who consistently deliver art that captures our imagination. Allanvre is one of those designers, which is why they were picked for this month’s Artist of the Week Feature.
