Welcome back to the Weekly Wave! Let’s see what news, updates, and announcements have risen to the surface this week!

Konami Announces Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG: Maze of Memories release in 2023!

Earlier this year, Konami began to lay out its plans for Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG in 2023. Since then, Konami has been drip-feeding these plans, and today, a calendar of Boosters and Box sets has taken shape. Just last week, Konami added another booster update to this calendar. This one is called Maze of Memories, and it’s scheduled to release in March 2023!

Maze of Memories is a booster that re-introduces classic cards to the modern Yu-Gi-Oh! Realm. The booster itself will come packed with 67 total cards, which are broken down like this:

*15 additional Collector's Rare cards will be included in this booster as well. 

By now, you’re probably wondering what kind of cards this booster will feature. Well, for starters, we can tell you that it will include monsters and spells like Black Luster Soldier – Legendary Swordsman, Duel Academy Field Spell, Red-Eyes, Fusion, and Stardust Dragon. 

Those who have been around since the beginning should know that Black Luster Soldier – Legendary Swordsman is Yugi’s first Ritual Monster. Maze of Memories will also include new World Premiere cards and even some from the History Archive Collection.

The official release date for the Maze of Memories booster is March 9th, 2023. Until then, keep your eyes peeled for more updates and announcements as they come out. According to the calendar, Konami is making 2023 a year to look forward to, and we can’t wait to see what they reveal next!

New Mandalorian Season 3 details to be revealed during CCXP event!

The Comic-Con Experience (CCXP) is coming back to Brazil on December 1st and is inviting fans from all over the world to join the fun in São Paulo. According to numerous reports, Lucasfilm will be leading the charge on day one with some awesome updates and announcements. One big one will be for The Mandalorian’s third season, which is set to release in February 2023.

Show creators/producers Jon Favreau and David Filoni are making the trip as well, where they will personally tease fans about the next chapter in The Mandalorian series. It’s been two years since the last episode of season 2 premiered and 3 months since we saw that teaser trailer, so fans are hungry for more. And after hearing the rumors surrounding this year’s CCXP, fans can expect to have their appetite satisfied with some gold nuggets of info, and maybe even a new trailer as well.

CCXP will also give more insight into the new Indiana Jones feature, which is set to release in June 2023 as well. This will be the 5th film in the series and welcomes back Harrison Ford in the title role that made him just as popular as Han Solo in the Star Wars trilogy. We just thought we should throw that in too, especially since both projects are spawned from Lucasfilm and Disney+.

Kai's Ugly Sweater Coloring Contest 

December starts tomorrow, and so does our new Supply Drop Drawing Competition, which will be running all month long and through January. We’re calling it our Kai Ugly Sweater Coloring Contest! This contest will be exclusively available for our Supply Drop subscribers, who will be prompted to help us color and re-design an ugly sweater that Kai is sporting this winter.

We thought about just going to our talented in-house art team and seeing what they could come up with, but after some discussion, we figured that this would be more fun. After all, our followers are super creative too. So, we decided to make a contest out of it, that way everyone can get involved. 

Starting this month, we are going to be sending out mats that feature Kai in their ugly sweater to our Supply Drop subscribers. Using the coloring pens that will be included, or any other alcohol-based permanent marker, subscribers will be able to color Kai’s sweater and create a design or pattern that they think will fit Kai best. When they’re finished, they will send a picture to the link provided. From there, we will submit it as an entry for the contest.

The voting will begin on January 1st. This is when we’ll be calling on the entire Inked Gaming community for help. Through January, all entries will be featured on our site and voting will be open to everyone who would like to help us crown three winners. The results and rewards for the top three designs with the most votes will be announced on February 1st.
