THE WEEKLY WAVE

Welcome back to the Weekly Wave! Let’s see what news, updates, and announcements have risen to the surface this week!

Pokémon TCG: Mask of Change releasing in Japan!

When it comes to new Pokémon decks, DLCs, and other goods, Japan always gets first dibs, and rightfully so. This year, Pokémon has announced the upcoming release of another DLC that has fans in Japan and around the world psyched. Based on Ogerpon of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Teal Mask DLC, Mask of Change is slated to be an awesome expansion filled with a vast set of special cards.

Pokémon TCG: Mask of Change

Since the official release date is still a few months out, details on this set are still a bit scarce. In fact, the complete card list still hasn’t been confirmed yet. However, we do know some things for sure, which may seem a little obvious to most at this point. For example, the set will introduce Ogerpon at center stage and feature new mechanics to easily switch masks.

Mask of Change will feature a Jumbo Set that will feature eight booster sets and some other assorted goodies. We’ve also heard whispers about the set including fresh card sleeves, deck boxes, and coins. Other than that, we’ll just have to wait for more updates and info before the launch.

Speaking of, there’s one last little detail that has been confirmed, and that is the release date. According to Pokémon TCG, Mask of Change will become available for Japanese players on April 26, 2024. No word on when the set will be released worldwide, but that’s just something else we’ll have to be patient with at this stage. Hopefully, we’ll get a teaser or some kind of update regarding the worldwide release once it goes live in Japan.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3 trailer just dropped!

After a long wait, and a lot of speculation about what’s coming next, Lucasfilm has finally revealed the trailer for the third season of the Bad Batch. This season will be the epic conclusion to the series and close out the story of the infamous Bad Batch. As expected, the trailer has reignited the fan base and given us a lot to look forward to.

Click HERE to watch the trailer. If you’ve already seen it, we won’t blame you for wanting to watch it again…and again.

Bad Batch

As you can see, the Bad Batch has quite a few obstacles and enemies to overcome, including the Emperor, who continues to be a powerful threat to the universe. It would be cool to see the Batch finally break free from the Empire, but there’s always room for some twists and turns along the way.

This final season features 15 episodes that will last from February to May. The first three episodes will premier on February 21st, with the finale set to drop on May 1st. It would have been cool if the finale was scheduled for May 4th, but we can assume that Star Wars and Lucasfilm have something more exciting planned for that day. We’ll see.
