THE WEEKLY WAVE

Welcome back to the Weekly Wave! Let’s see what news, updates, and announcements have risen to the surface this week!

Enjoy Pokémon’s new 7-Star Tera Raid Battle this weekend!

That’s right, starting on Friday, January 12th, Trainers will be able to take part in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's 7-Star Tera Raid Battle. This time, Blaziken will have center stage, along with Blissey, who is slated to make an appearance as well. Blaziken is a Flying Tera Type that is sure to test the skills of any Trainer that crosses its path.

Blaziken

Blaziken is known for its damaging attacks, but if you take advantage of its weak defense, specifically to Rock, Ice, and Electric, you should be able to bring it down. So, if you’re thinking about taking it on, be sure to have a plan in place, and stick with it for the duration of the battle.

Again, this 7-Star Tera Raid Battle with Blaziken will officially begin on January 12th and run through January 14th. That means you have the whole weekend to go toe-to-toe with Blaziken. If you can’t make it this weekend, don’t fret. Pokémon also announced that this event will become available again on January 19th and last until January 21st.

Good luck, Trainers!

Yu-Gi-Oh! Maze of Millennia is coming soon…very soon!

Konami is kicking off 2024 with a new Yu-Gi-Oh! Set that is scheduled to become available in the next week or so. Maze of Millennia is the first set to be released in 2024, and it’s slated to contain a host of cards that players can’t wait to get their hands on. What kind of cards? Well, Konami has stated that Maze of Millennia will feature “new long-thought-lost cards seen in the TV series,” along with some more popular tournament-level cards.

Maze of Millennia

The set will contain a total of 85 cards, which will be categorized by the following:

Players will also find 16 additional Collector Rare cards in the set as well. Each pack will contain one guaranteed foil and six rares. Ahead of the set's official release, Komani has provided a fun teaser to describe exactly what kind of cards players can expect from Maze of Millennia:

“From the mesmerizing power of Pegasus’ Eye of Illusion to the unseen evil of Clorless, Chaos King of Dark World, you’ll have your hands full with dozens of new cards that first appeared in or were inspired by the many worlds of Yu-Gi-Oh! Take a look at just some of the spoils that await you within this maze!”
