THE WEEKLY WAVE

Welcome back to the Weekly Wave! Let’s see what news, updates, and announcements have risen to the surface this week!

Have you answered the Digimon questionnaire?

With Digimon celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2024 and Digimon Con just around the corner, Bandai Namco has decided to reach out to long-time players/fans via a questionnaire. This questionnaire is a survey that asks fans to describe their experiences with Digimon, including their favorite games, favorite Digimon, and any additional input they would like to provide. It’s rumored that these questions and answers will be presented during the Digimon Con event.

Digimon

On top of naming your favorite Digimon game, Bandai also asks that you provide reasons why you chose those specific games and why they were your favorite. We can expect that Bandai will use this info to help gauge the progress of some of the projects that they currently have in development. We can also assume that these projects will be teased at the event as well.

Here’s the official quote from their Twitter post:

“We will use some feedback in the DIGIMON CON program and for reference in future Digimon games. We look forward to your enthusiastic responses!”

The questionnaire will be available until 5 pm PST on January 7th. So, if you wish to sound off and give Bandai Namco a better idea of what your personal Digimon experience has been like over the years, this is your chance. Who knows, maybe you and one of your responses will be featured at Digimon Con 2024!

Magikarp is joining Pokémon Unite!

On New Year’s Day, Pokémon posted an update on their Twitter (X) account announcing that Unite will be welcoming another Pokémon to the game. Magikarp is set to join the fun later this month, and fans are super excited to see it come to life in Pokémon Unite gameplay.

Here’s the pic they released with the post:

Fans were also excited to learn that the game will include Magikarp’s unique Splash attack ability, which will be connected to its evolution. Pokémon also released several in-game screenshots of Magikarp in action. As long as Splash is available, we’ll be happy to take them for a spin (or swim).

Fans can expect to see Magikarp added to Pokémon Unite around January 25th, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled towards the end of the month. Not a bad way to kick off the new year!

More dragons will be landing on our site over the next few weeks, and we’ll give you the scoop as they swoop in. In the meantime, be sure to fly over to Thingamajigs' collection page and check out all the White Dragons they have waiting for you. If you spot one that makes you do a double-take, be sure to add the art to your cart.
