Pokémon GO’s 2023 Festival of Lights is on!

The Festival of Lights event officially went live on November 7th and Trainers have a full list of Research Tasks to complete over the next few days. These tasks will test your skill, but will also offer a host of rare rewards that you don’t want to miss out on.

Here’s a short list of some of the tasks and rewards that await you:

• Spin 30 PokeStops – Incense ×1
• Catch 30 Electric-type Pokémon – Hisuian Voltorb
• Catch 30 Fire-type Pokémon – Hisuian Growlithe
• Explore 5 km – Tadbulb
• Use an Incense – Morelull
• Catch 15 different species of Pokémon – Magmar
• Hatch 4 Eggs – Dedenne

Those who complete all of these research tasks will be rewarded with an exclusive Festival of Lights 2023 T-Shirt, Alolan Raichu, and a 3,000 XP cherry on top. This year’s festival will also serve as the first debut of a couple of cool Pokémon: Tadbulb, the EleTadpole Pokémon, and Bellibolt, its Evolution. You will also encounter a loaded field of Pokémon in the wild during the event, so keep your eyes peeled for them.

Pokémon GO’s 2023 Festival of Lights will remain active until 8 p.m. local time on November 12th. So, if you want to be a part of this year’s festivities, we suggest that you clear some time on your calendar and get your game on between now and Sunday night.
