Welcome back to the Weekly Wave! Let’s see what news, updates, and announcements have risen to the surface this week!

Have you snagged MTG’s Frank Frazetta Secret Lair yet?

In case you didn’t see the blog we posted last month, MTG’s December Secret Lair Drop included an awesome new card set that features art based on the work of legendary designer, Frank Frazetta. Frank’s art dates all the way back to the 1940s and has been printed on everything from comic books, albums, book covers, movie posters, and more. In early 2022, we welcomed some of Frank’s most popular pieces to the Inked Gaming collection. Those pieces are now printed on a host of our products.

More recently, MTG announced that their December Secret Lair would feature art from Frank Frazetta, some of which looked familiar. Those arts now make up this limited Secret Lair Drop, which is coming to a close this week. Here’s what those cards look like:

If you’ve been shopping with us for a while, Dark Ritual and Midnight Reaper should look familiar. We know them better as The Skull King and Death Dealer. The five cards featured in this The Art of Frank Frazetta Secret Lair are available in both foil and non-foil finishes. Since this Secret Lair is very limited, like all the others, it will only be available until January 6th. That means you have until 12 pm EST this Friday to snag this Secret Lair before it’s gone for good.

So, if you still haven’t ordered your Frank Frazetta Secret Lair set, we suggest that you head over to MTG’s Secret Lair store as soon as you can! This is one Secret Lair Drop you don’t want to miss!

Sonic Boom is set to stream on Netflix later this month!

If you have Netflix, you may have noticed a nice collection of Sonic series episodes have been added to the lineup. Those series include Sonic X, The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, and their latest original series, Sonic Prime. Recently, Netflix announced that yet another awesome Sonic series will be added to the list.

Sonic Boom is an action-packed, fast-paced adventure that features Sonic and friends as they fight to stop Dr. Eggman from taking over their free island playground and turning it into a theme park. The series is currently available on Hulu, but will soon be added to Netflix on January 31st. That means Netflix subscribers can enjoy seasons one and two of the series by the end of this month. 

More Sonic Prime episodes are expected to come through over the course of this year, but in between those releases, Netflix has ensured that their viewers will have plenty of Sonic adventures to watch in 2023. So, if you want to run it back with the fastest hedgehog in the universe, be sure to check out Sonic Boom on Netflix at the end of the month!

Vote for your favorite Kai Ugly Sweater Design!

On January 1st, voting for our Kai Ugly Sweater Contest officially opened, and we’re super excited to see our fellow gamers vote for their favorites! We’re still excepting submissions as well, but so far, we’ve received a nice handful of Ugly Sweater designs that we couldn’t wait to post on our voting page.

Voting will remain open until January 31st. After we’ve counted all the votes, we plan to announce the winner(s) on February 1st. Those who place will receive the following prizes:
