Welcome back to the Weekly Wave! Let’s see what news, updates, and announcements have risen to the surface this week!

Part 1 of Pokémon GO’s Winter Holiday event starts this week!

The most wonderful time of the year is here, and one of our favorite games is introducing a host of awesome features that will appear in-game this week. Pokémon Go’s Winter Holiday is a two-part festive celebration that will include new events, avatars, stickers, special encounters, and more. 

This Holiday event will also be the debut of Mega Glalie in Mega Raids. As always, with a stroke of luck, you’ll encounter a shiny one while gallivanting in the wild. There are some event bonuses to look forward to as well, such as 50% more XP for winning Raid Battles and Trainers being able to store up to 40 Gifts until the end of the event. The in-game shop will also be stocked with some fun holiday-themed items, including:

• Holiday Pajama Bottoms
• Holiday Pajama Slippers
• A Gifting Pose
• A Holiday Hat
• And more

The Winter Holiday festivities will begin on Thursday, December 15, 2022, and will last until Friday, December 23, 2022. So, if you’re not doing anything important tomorrow, you should jump in and see what the buzz is about. You can find more info and what to expect from this Holiday event via Pokémon Go’s website. We’ll send out another reminder when Part 2 begins!

Don’t forget about our Supply Drop Coloring Contest!

This is just a reminder that we’ve started sending out Kai’s Ugly Sweater mats to our subscribers, which means the coloring contest is in motion. Only our supply drop subscribers will receive one of these mats in their next drop. So if you’re still not subscribed but would like to participate, now is the time to get your name on the list and your location on our radar.

In addition to the mat, subscribers will also receive a set of alcohol-based permanent markers that can be used to color it. Once you have your mat, you may begin coloring immediately. When you’re finished, just take a pic of your mat and upload it to the submission link. Submissions will be closing January 20th, so don't wait too long to start coloring! Once designs are approved, we’ll begin posting them on our site. Starting in January, we will open the contest up to voting. If you don't participate in the coloring part of the contest, we invite you to participate by voting for your favorite Kai’s Ugly Sweater design.

After January 20th, we’ll start counting the votes and announce the winner(s) on February 1st. There are three prizes available for the top three most voted for designs.

1st Place: $150 Inked Gaming Gift Card

2nd Place: $100 Inked Gaming Gift Card

3rd Place: $50 Inked Gaming Gift Card

Again, this is what we have to look forward to in February. In the meantime, it’s still December, which means there’s still time left for those who are not subscribed to sign up for our Supply Drops and participate in the contest. Click HERE to get your name on our list today!

Inked Gaming’s Artist of the Week Feature!

As we mentioned in last week’s wave, Kate Becker is our featured artist of the week! Over these last few days, we’ve showcased Kate’s awesome work all over our site and social channels. In addition to being a creator, Kate is also an entrepreneur and business owner who operates right here in our home state of Oregon. In fact, many of you may know her from Mox Valley Games. 

When Kate isn’t running Mox Valley as the co-owner, she is crafting and sculpting stunning artwork that has caught the attention of many in the gaming community. Today, Kate Becker is a favorite among our customers, which is why we wanted her to have her time in the spotlight during this month’s Artist Feature of the Week series. Again, this is how we plan to introduce/re-introduce some of our fan-favorite artists to our customers. So, while you’re here, we encourage you to check out all the designs in Kate’s collection before you bounce. If it’s cool characters and creatures you seek, Kate Becker’s collection is where you’ll find them.
