Welcome back to the Weekly Wave! Let’s see what news, updates, and announcements have risen to the surface this week!

Niantic’s Campfire app is coming to Pokémon GO!

It will only be available in select cities, but trainers should still be psyched about the new Campfire extension that is available in Pokémon GO. This announcement was made on October 28th, just in time for Halloween, and has Trainers everywhere hoping that it’s made available in their city. We’re not sure exactly which cities will be able to use the Campfire app in Pokémon GO, but we can expect Niantic to give us an updated list any day now. 

For those who aren’t familiar with it, Campfire is an app that assists players by helping them to connect with fellow Trainers and find local and/or remote Raid Battles instantly. This was actually the perfect time to bring Campfire to Pokémon GO, as it can be used to better arrange your Halloween Raid Battles. The app’s maps allow you to view all the meetups and events, including Battle Raids, happening in your immediate proximity.

Niantic and Pokémon plan to keep their community updated on the Campfire app as it becomes available in select cities. Those who wish to use the app will get a welcome confirmation via email. With that in mind, be sure to keep an eye out for more updates on Pokémon GO and Niantic’s official site. You can learn more about the Campfire app HERE.

The winner of the Inked Gaming Halloween Art Contest is…

Makin' Soup! After four weeks and a ton of votes submitted, we’re happy to announce that the Makin’ Soup design is the winner of our 2022 Halloween Art Contest. This winning design comes from Lily, one of the talented artists on our in-house art team. Way to go, Lily! 

We would like to thank ALL the in-house artists who participated in this year’s contest. Every design was awesome, and while there could only be one winner, we think each one deserves some accolade, especially since the race was so close.

We would also like to give a shout-out to everyone who submitted a vote and helped us make this art contest even more fun. Again, we received a lot of votes this year, and we appreciate the entire Inked Gaming community coming together for this spooky little contest!
