Pokémon announces upcoming Scarlet & Violet sets!

The first sets from Pokémon’s new Scarlet and Violet game have been announced and are scheduled to release in early 2023. They’re calling these sets the Paldea Collection, which will come with a host of fun features, including 3 foil promo cards, enamel pins, four booster packs, and more. This collection will also come with a promo code card that trainers can use in either Pokémon TCG Online or Pokémon TCG Live. Pokémon is also throwing in an oversized foil card that will feature Koraidon ex or Miraidon ex.

The Paldea Collection is set to officially launch on January 6th, 2023. Until then, you can keep an eye on Pokémon’s official site for more details and updates as they are announced! 

Disney has a new Star Wars movie in development!

It’s a long way off, we have no idea what it’s going to be about, and casting hasn’t even begun yet. However, Disney and Lucasfilm recently announced that a new Star Wars feature film is in the works…and it’s going to be HUGE. Yes, there are a ton of Star Wars projects in development right now, most of which are series and spin-offs from Mandalorian, Boba Fett. Ever since the Rise of Skywalker, these series have been at the forefront of the Star Wars schedule.

It’s also worth noting that Disney and Lucasfilm have other Star Wars features planned, but scheduling and production issues have pushed those projects to the back burner…for now. Rogue Squadron is a great example. Despite these issues, pushbacks, and delays, Disney and Lucas are continuing to keep their Star Wars future feature projects alive, and we received our first glimpse of that earlier this week. 

According to multiple reports, Lucasfilm has selected a director and screenwriter for a ‘secret’ Star Wars film that will bring the franchise (and fans) back to movie theaters. Again, details are very scarce at this stage, but at least we have a better idea of what the movie will look like.

Director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and writer Damon Lindelof have been placed at the helm. Together, the two have produced some shows and features that make them a great fit for a project of this magnitude.

If you enjoyed Ms. Marvel, Watchmen, Tomorrowland, and Prometheus, then this new Star Wars movie series will be for you! Yes, it’s been reported that Lucasfilm would like to start up another trilogy, instead of a standalone film. So, it looks like Obaid-Chinoy and Lindelof will be laying the foundation for a series that could take us all the way to 2030.
