Loupe: Our new card breaking livestream app

Hey! In case you weren’t already aware of it, we are now using Loupe for live streaming all of our card break sessions! I know that we recently came out with this exciting news, but we just wanted to make sure that everyone was in the ‘Loupe’, so to speak. So, that’s why we’re hitting the refresh button with this new post that briefly outlines the Loupe app and highlights some new, significant updates that have dropped since the new year! Sound good? Cool!

We’ll start with a little background on the app and then get to more recent stuff!

Loupe is a card break app that is currently available on Apple/iOS platforms. Now, don’t fret if you’re an Android user, because I hear that there is an app for Android currently in the works and should be available soonish. I know that sounds vague and ambiguous, but it’s the best we can do for now.  However, if you are an Apple user, you’ll be happy to know that Loupe is a FREE app that enables you to watch us (and others) do live breaks in real-time.

Our breaks will feature everything from Pokemon, to MTG, to Yu-Gi-Oh, to sports cards and more! It’s truly a passionate card collector’s dream! In addition to that, Loupe also allows you to buy packs as well, which our breaker (probably Mitch) will open during the stream, Once the break session is complete, your pack will be shipped to you. Pretty cool, huh? We thought so, too!

Now, more recently, there have been a few significant updates to the app that we thought we should quickly point out. On January 2nd, Update 1.0.15 was released, which includes the following points::

  • Sellers have the ability to hide and unhide items in their Sales Items list
  • Supports item categories in the Sale Item list for faster listing and easier viewing
  • Video stays in a locked position and no longer shifts up when the keyboard is displayed
  • Fix - First-time users can now see their username prompt
  • Fix - Sellers can scan in tracking info for some orders that they couldn’t before

Update 1.0.16, which came out on January 5th, remedied a bug that would not ask new Loupe users to enter their username

Most recently, Update 1.0.17, released on January 13th, accomplished the following:

  • Grouped and organized the Sale item list by sport/category for easier searching
  • Gave users the ability to filter out any/all items already sold
  • Increased max stream length to 6 hours, instead of the original 4 hours
  • Altered the “No Category” symbol to not look more like an error
  • More info provided in the Profile section on how to apply to be a seller on Loupe

That about covers all of the most recent updates for now. If you wish to stay informed on all of the updates coming to Loupe in 2021, feel free to check out their News & Updates page. Speaking of which, we have a new update that I think you’re going to like!

Also on January 13th, we streamed a new episode (episode 8) of High Tide with Kai: an original Inked Gaming and Kraken Cards Podcast, where our host, Mitch, goes into further detail about the Loupe app and what card breaking is.

Again, we don’t have a set schedule for our Loupe card breaks just yet, so be sure to check us out on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest every now then for live updates and announcements! We’re so excited to have our own card break sessions streaming live on Loupe and we hope that you will join us for each break!

You can download the Loupe app for free by clicking here!

Thanks for tuning in!

Sincerely,

Team Inked
