Animal Crossing: New Horizons Halloween has begun

It seems that Animal Crossing: New Horizons has already gotten into the Halloween spirit, and players are pumped. The game’s annual Halloween event will introduce old and new content this year that will make the holiday even more exciting. Let’s just say you can expect more creation, cool costumes, returning characters, and more this month. Some content will even take us into early November as well.

Some of you may already be aware of the spooky new content coming to New Horizons. But, for those who aren’t, consider this your wake-up call. I’ll go over some of the details in what follows and what you can expect to find (or what will find you) later on this month.

Animal Crossing: New Horizon Halloween

Animal Crossing: New Horizons introduces a host of new and returning Halloween content this year, all of which are meant to help us better enjoy what this time of year is all about. Included in this year’s new Halloween content are Spooky Treats Baskets, a Spooky Trick Lamp, and a Spooky Tree that’s covered in jack-o-lanterns. All of these items come in various colors and are available at Nook’s Cranny until the end of October.

As far as the returning content, players are happy to hear that Jack’s back this year! That’s right, the czar of Halloween with the Pumpkinhead is making a return to the game and will be making his rounds on his favorite day of the month/year...October 31st.

Other returning items include familiar pumpkins, candy, and costumes that are available right now. So, if anyone needs costumes or candy to prepare for Jack’s return, you can purchase them from Able Sisters and Nook’s Cranny. Just make sure you get your candy shopping done before the end of the month, that way you can get exclusive gear from Jack in exchange for your sweet treats.

There’s one additional seasonal celebration that’s coming up later this month that will last a few days into November...and that’s the Day of The Dead. The historic Mexican holiday comes to the islands this year. The Day of The Dead celebration will start on October 25th and last until November 3rd. During that time, you can prepare for the festivities by obtaining certain items like Marigold decorations, which you can purchase in the Nook Shopping, as well as a special Candy-Skull Mask (sugar skull) just for giving Gulliver a hand.

You can get more specific info on Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ Halloween celebration/content by clicking HERE. This link will take you to a blog that has more details and images of the specific items you can expect to see in-game throughout the rest of the month. I have a feeling that this Halloween will be better than last year. At least that’s my hope. Let me know if you agree in the comments below.

Until we meet again,
