Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG’s Speed Duel: Streets of Battle City is coming in 2023

It’s happening, duelists! Speed Duel: Streets of Battle City is set to launch later this year, and Yu-Gi-Oh! fans across the realm are super excited about its arrival. This item has been on our radar for a while, and based on the info that was made official last week, it looks like it’s going to be on our calendar for a while as well. But, at least we won’t have to wait until 2024.

Since Konami is celebrating its 25th Anniversary of Yu-Gi-Oh! this year, we’re seeing quite a few awesome products and projects be released, including the Legendary Collection: 25th Anniversary Edition set. That one is scheduled to release in April and will feature one pack each of Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon, Metal Raiders, Spell Ruler, Pharaoh's Servant, and Invasion of Chaos. There’s more info on that set in one of our previous Weekly Waves.

Streets of Battle City is a box that contains eight ready-to-play, pre-constructed decks that make up a total of 228 cards. According to Konami, those 228 cards are made up of 200 Commons, 20 Skills, and 8 Secret Rares. It will also contain Two-Player game mats. Now that’s something we would be very interested in seeing.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Speed Duel: Streets of Battle City

Speed Duel: Streets of Battle City is great for playing with friends, as it casts you both as Yugi and Joey, and challenges you to overcome the obstacles that stand in your way. Only the strong and skilled will reach the Battle City finals, and with a crowded field of dangerous duelists fighting for the same spot, the competition is bound to get fierce. Be on your toes!

Yu-Gi-Oh! Speed Duel: Streets of Battle City is scheduled to release on August 24, 2023. That may seem a little far out right now, but if these next four months go by just as fast as the last four, Streets of Battle City will be here before you know it!

Happy Gaming!

Sincerely,

Team Inked
