Joe Manganiello’s D&D TV Show!
Now before you start looking through Hulu, Disney+, Netflix, or whatever service you use for streaming shows, let us save you some time. Joe Manganiello's D&D show is not on the air yet. In fact, the project is still in development and not even officially off the ground. However, during a video that he posted showcasing a 12-foot gaming table being installed in his house, Manganiello briefly mentioned a project that he and Wizards of the Coast are collaborating on.
For those who don’t know, Joe Manganiello is a HUGE D&D fan and has played in numerous events and tournaments. Those events include game nights that featured other big-name celebs who are D&D adventurers. When asked about his partnership with D&D/Wizards of the Coast, Manganiello said, “I'm actually shooting a documentary right now and I'm developing a TV show for them too.”
The documentary he’s referring to is a passion project that Manganiello helped co-direct. According to early reports and teases, the documentary tells the story of D&D and gives audiences an in-depth look at the rich history of the game. One could assume that once the doc is complete, Manganiello and WOTC will get to work on this newest TV project.
Since the show is presently just an idea on paper, a lot of speculation is surrounding the project and what it might be. We won’t go into too much detail about what fans want this new series to be about, but we will say that Manganiello is full of awesome ideas that we would love to see brought to life on the screen. We’ll keep our eye on this story and do an update when we learn more about the project that Mananiello and Wizards of the Coast have planned.
Help us support the Humane Society this month!
Valentine’s Day may have passed, but we’re still celebrating the love for our pets and animals everywhere all month long. Since the Humane Society is an organization that shares our love for scaled, winged, and furry friends in need, we’re showing them support, but we need help from our fellow gamers.
Remember, for the rest of February, we will be taking a percentage of every purchase made on our site and setting it aside to donate to the Humane Society. If you need a new TCG playmat, gaming mousepad, dice bag, etc. this is the month to snag them. Not only will you be adding a fresh, premium piece to your collection, but you’ll be supporting a great cause as well. It’s a win-win.
Not sure what to pick? That’s okay. Our collection is packed with all kinds of cool gear, so if you want to make your next purchase count, maybe we can make a suggestion. If you like the Valentine’s designs that our in-house art team created, you should go for our Valentine’s Day Mystery playmat.
The Mystery playmat features one of the three new Valentine’s designs, which we randomly select and send to you. What makes this a mystery is the fact that you won’t know which design we picked until it reaches you. Those same designs are also entries in our Valentine’s art competition, so be sure to vote for your favorite after you’ve placed your order!
That’s all for now! Stay tuned for our next edition of The Weekly Wave for more fun stories and updates!
