How to Make a Custom Dice Bag
Let’s see, so far we’ve covered the steps to create a custom playmat, mousepad, and mat bag. Since we love talking about the creation process of our custom goods, we thought it would be fun to add another item to the list. This time, we’re talking about our custom dice bags and all the steps required to prepare and produce them.
Remember, every custom item in our collection is meant to be your own personal blank canvas. It’s a free space for creativity, personality, and imagination. Of course, we have to stay within our terms and conditions, but for the most part, our custom goods allow you to be more unique and creative than most other gaming gear and products out there.
Whether you want to show off a cute pic of your pets, promote your personal brand logo, or just create a one-of-a-kind design that no one else at the table has, a custom dice bag can give your game a unique look and feel. This has been Inked Gaming’s goal since 2011, and nothing has changed since then.
The following steps help you to create your custom dice bag and allow us to bring them to life on our end.
Step 1.) Prepare Your File
This first step is key to ensuring that the image that you're uploading is sized and formatted correctly according to the specs of our dice bag. Whether you’re going with a favorite art, pattern, or logo, your image must be 14" x 10" inches and have a resolution of 2100 x 1500 @ 150 PPI. This size and resolution will give us the best results when the printing process is completed. However, we also want to point out that we have the ability to print with a resolution that goes as high as 300 PPI. But, 150 PPI still allows us to print your custom designs to perfection.
It’s also important for your image to be RGB and saved as a JPG. There’s a template linked to the custom dice bag (and all of our other custom items), which can help you make sure that all the boxes are checked and that your file is properly prepared for printing.
Step 2.) Upload Your Image/Design
Now that your image is formatted and sized for the custom dice bag, it’s time to upload it. We give you the option to drag & drop your file from your computer or upload it using other channels/platforms, such as:
- Google Drive
- Drop Box
- And more
From here, you’ll be able to preview your image and crop it within the virtual border we provide. This border is a great tool for making sure that your image is sized correctly and that nothing gets cut off during the printing process. Again, this is your chance to preview the image before you hit the order button, so unless you’re going to use our Editing & Preview upgrade, we suggest that you make sure everything is lined up and cropped the way you want it.
That’s actually a nice segue to our next step.
Step 3.) Upgrade Your Order (Optional)
Just like the other custom products that we’ve covered in this How-to series, we offer an upgrade with this Custom Dice Bag, which is designed to keep you in the loop during the creation process from start to finish. The Editing & Preview upgrade provides you with advanced editing tools that allow you to tweak your image so that it comes out just the way you pictured it. You can even preview the finished product and make any additional adjustments as needed. Nothing gets printed until you give your approval.
Our Editing & Preview upgrade costs an extra $15.00, but is so worth it if you want to ensure that you get the results you were expecting once your custom dice bag arrives. So, we strongly encourage you to at least consider upgrading your order before you go to the checkout page.
Step 4.) Let us do what we do best
After everything has been looked over, reviewed, and approved on your end, you can then give us the nod to begin working our magic behind the scenes. Producing high-quality prints on premium products like ours is truly an art in its own right. A lot goes into it, but thanks to our skilled team and the 8-Color dye-sublimation printers in our warehouse, this is an art that we’ve come to master after years of practice.
With that being said, we remind you that it takes about 3-7 business days for our production wizards to work their magic before your dice bag is shipped. As soon as it’s done, we’ll promptly have it sent out to your address for delivery. Shipping is a game that we’re still trying to grasp and get the cheat codes for. But, until then, we’ll just have to leave that part to the experts and hope they’re playing at their peak, so to speak.
Well, it looks like we’ve touched on everything. Just follow the steps above, and you’ll be on your way to creating a custom dice bag that speaks to your play style and personality. Who knows, you might end up having the coolest-looking dice bag at the table. In fact, don’t be surprised if the other players at that table ask where they can get one of their own. When that happens, you know where to send them. To the gaming supplier that’s been by gamers for gamers.
We love bringing gamers’ designs and unique visions to life on our gear, and we feel so fortunate to be able to do what we love every day for those who matter most…You. Without you, the gears on our giant wheel of fun don’t turn here at Inked Gaming. We have to always be at the top of our game so that you can stay at the top of yours.
So, go ahead and start designing your custom dice bag today! We’ll be waiting.
