How to join the Inked Gaming Artist Program

Every day, week, and month, Inked Gaming welcomes some of the world’s most talented independent designers to our special Artist Program. This program gives our artists the opportunity to not only receive more recognition for their awesome work, but a nice commission as well. Yes, our artists get paid for every piece sold with their designs printed on them, which is why we work so hard to plug and promote them week in, week out. 

The Inked Gaming Artist Program is open to ALL who are interested in helping us create stunning designs for our premium products. Our followers and fellow gamers are searching for gear that can bring style and personality to their favorite games, and sometimes it just takes a cool design from a gifted artist to check both of those boxes. And that’s why we need YOU!

So, if you’re an artist who can give our gamers and goods the awesome art they deserve, we encourage you to join our Artist Program ASAP!

How can you become a part of the Inked Gaming artist community? Well, in this blog, we’re going to take you through the entire process, step by step. Just like everything else we do, we wanted to make joining the Artist Program as simple and straightforward as possible.

Here’s how the process works.

Step 1. Submit Your Art.

If you visit our Artist Program page, you’ll find a section titled: Submit your art here! If you’re a new artist looking to get your work on our gear, click the New Artist Submission form on the left to get started. On that form, you will be asked to provide some basic information, such as your name, email address, and a link to your online portfolio, if you have one. You can also help us get to know you better by telling us your social media handles (for Facebook and Twitter) and providing a brief little background of who you are. This info is optional.

Once you’ve done that, you’re required to submit/upload at least one piece of artwork. If you have more than one…even better! You can upload up to nine different designs on this submission form, so feel free to send us more than one.

Step 2. Wait for confirmation.

After clicking that submit button, we’ll have a look at your design(s) and get back to you shortly.

During this step, we go through the info and art you provided just to get a sense of who you are and if your work is fit for our site. We want to remind you that while we’re all about creative and artistic expression, we have some rules and restrictions that we must abide by. 

For starters, we will NOT accept any designs that have trademarks/logos featured on them. This includes logos from sports teams, corporations, colleges, etc. We also will not accept any designs that contain indecent, obscene, offensive, or defaming content. So, please keep it clean.  We can do parodies and fan art, but we will not accept redraws.

If your art is acceptable, and we like your style, you’ll be receiving a confirmation email soon after. We’ll also email you if your work has not been accepted. However, if it is, we’ll begin doing what we do best, which is printing your designs on our products and posting them on our site for all to see!

Step 3. Start getting paid!

Upon adding your designs to our collection, we will begin sending you updates and details about any and all items sold with your work on them. You can expect these updates to be emailed to you every third month over the course of the year. From there, you will begin receiving your commission every 3rd month (figure around the 15th) through PayPal. If you don’t have a PayPal account, we urge you to sign up for one, as it’s the only (and easiest) way for us to send you payments.
