Enjoy a good slumber with Pokémon Sleep this summer!

It’s been a while since we’ve heard any news, updates, or announcements about the release of Pokémon Sleep. In fact, it’s been so long that we were beginning to think that it would just remain a project in development and then slip under the radar upon release. Well, after four years of rescheduling and frequent radio silence, Pokémon has given the community a wake-up call that we’ve been waiting for.

Pokémon Sleep

During the Pokémon Presents event that streamed earlier this week, the Pokémon company laid out its plans for 2023. Those plans include the World Championships, the upcoming TCG Classic Set, a new Netflix series (Pokémon Concierge), and the long-awaited release of Pokémon Sleep. With this announcement came a short teaser trailer and intro video that gives a brief overview of how Sleep works. Click HERE to watch the intro video.

As any health specialist, athlete, and Snorlax will tell you, sleep is VERY important to the mind and body. So, Pokémon has found a way to promote a good night’s rest with an app/game that rewards you for achieving your best sleep. By doing so, you will attract certain Pokémon while you slumber and have the chance to interact with them when you wake up.

Of course, the kind of creatures you attract and interact with depends on the kind of sleep you get. Dozing, snoozing, and slumbering are the three styles of sleep you can get. There are certain Pokémon that have those same sleep styles/habits, and you’ll know what kind of sleep you get when you see those Pokémon gathered around Snorlax in the morning.

All you have to do is put your smartphone by your pillow for the game to record and analyze how you sleep. We don’t know about you, but we’re putting ours under our pillows to get the best results…JUST KIDDING. No, we think our nightstands or just somewhere close should do. The better/longer you sleep, the higher your score will be when you wake, and that means more Pokémon will be waiting for you as well.

Pokémon Sleep will be available for both iOS and Android users sometime this summer. We don’t have an exact date yet, but after four years of no info, we’re just happy to have a time window open. We’ll add an update when more details come out. Until then, keep your eyes open and try to get a good night’s rest…just not at the same time!

Happy Gaming!

Best,

Team Inked
