Affiliate Spotlight: Demon Rush

Every affiliate and artist who joins the Inked Gaming community has a story to tell. A story that goes beyond the designs they deliver, the content they create, and the short bios they provide. While these are the things that affiliates like Demon Rush are known for, we feel compelled to know more. We want to know who they are, where they come from, and what makes them unique. We would also like to know how their imagination works. So, we sent them our Spotlight interview questions!

We’re super excited and fortunate to have Demon Rush as an affiliate, and once you’ve read through the responses they sent back to us, you’ll see why! Of course, if you know Demon Rush and have seen the amazing things that they’ve produced over the years, you understand our excitement better than any. 

We would rather let Demon Rush introduce themselves from here, so let’s start with the regular icebreaker questions and go down the list!

Who are you and what do you do? 

I'm Mastar, one of the top Anime YouTubers with nearly 4 million subscribers. For the past 6 years, I have been creating content for popular anime like Dragon Ball Super, One Punch Man, and Naruto. After much hard work, this year I fulfilled my dream and launched my own anime, manga, and trading card game called Demon Rush. In my 20s, I worked a soul-sucking desk job that I hated. Every day I was miserable. I felt I was meant for something greater. When I turned 30 I took a leap and plunged myself into the world of YouTube. Luckily, it worked out!

What type of content do you enjoy making the most?

Well, I absolutely love to talk about my own story Demon Rush, featuring big names like Daisuke Ono (voice of Jotaro), but I also get incredibly excited to talk about the newest chapters of One Punch Man. Currently, OPM is at its peak as Saitama fights his strongest rival yet, God Garou. It's incredibly exciting, and the artist, Yusuke Murata, does not disappoint with his legendary artwork. 

 

What are some hobbies you do when you’re not streaming and/or making videos?

Most of the time I hang out in the Demon Rush discord with the other fans, playing the game together or just talking. It brings me back to the old days of Yu-Gi-Oh! and how many friends I made playing in local tournaments every weekend. There's something about card games that allows men to bond and become great friends. 

What would be the hat to end all hats? What could you wear on your head that would make people stop what they are doing and stare in awe and amazement?

My ultimate dream is to one day walk down the red carpet of my own movie. So, a Demon Rush animated film would be the hat to end it all. You have my assurance that I will not rest until that dream comes to fruition!

 

What mythical creature would improve the world most if it existed?

Probably a fairy with healing powers or something of the sort, haha. Imagine curing all the world's illnesses. That would improve mankind the most. 

In 40 years, what will people be nostalgic for?

I'd like to hope they are nostalgic for how Demon Rush all began, and that we are currently creating history in the making!

 

What’s the closest thing to real magic?

New technology will always be the closest thing to real magic. If you took an iPhone back to the mid-evil ages, they would think it's wizardry. So, future technology that seems impossible will always be represented as so. 

If life were a video game, what would some of the cheat codes be?

Learning how to save time to optimize progress. For example, level boosting in a video game cuts out the time it takes to get farther with your character. In real life, you can spend money to take duties off your hands like mowing the lawn, cooking, washing clothes, etc. Freeing up that extra time allows you to make faster progress on your projects and ambitions. 

 

Do you know why the chicken crossed the road?

Because life is short, time is money, and he had somewhere to be!
